Madiniyah

The brand name "Madinyah" comes from the name of "Al Madinah Al Munawwarah" ("medinah" or "madinah"), which is one of the cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The city is considered to be the second-holiest of three key cities in Islamic tradition, with Mecca and Jerusalem.
Beside that "Al Madinah Al Munawwarah" known for the most important mosque of the city "the Masjid Al-Nabawiyah" which stands for the "Mosque of the Prophet" as it hosts the tomb of the Prophet of Islam, and famous for its unique heritage and hold historic significance, it's known for its premium dates, especially the ajwa as well.

Madiniyah is a brand specialized in providing luxurious dates and chocolates from Madinah to all over the world. We wanted the packaging and the whole identity to represent the heritage of "Madinah", and to look like delicious souvenirs from Madinah.






Several elements were used in the formation of the graphic elements, by using the traditional motifs and shapes spread in Madinah on buildings and textiles, and assembled in simplified and modern form of the Saudi "sadu weaving" look. "Sadu" is one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest traditional forms of weaving and it refers to the traditional woven textile made by Bedouin women.
